Merfeld / Friedman Family Scholarship
Awarded annually to two Isenberg School of Management students, majoring in accounting, who have completed at least 12 college-level credits at UMass with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to students who are refugees or asylum-seekers and who have serious financial need. If no student meets both the Academic and the Need Criteria, UMass may award the scholarship to students who meet the Academic Criterion and are first-generation immigrants and were raised in an environment where English was not spoken. A student who qualifies for one year may reapply for a subsequent year. Interested students must submit a one-page essay discussing their career goals and how this scholarship will help them achieve these.
