H.T.U. Smith Memorial Geology Fund

H.T.U. Smith served as head of Geosciences from 1956 to 1959. The H.T.U. Smith Memorial Geology Fund provides one or more awards to undergraduate and graduate students (including freshmen and graduating seniors), regularly enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus. Awards shall be for tuition, fees, research and to defray the expenses in connection with geological field work, with emphasis on summer field studies or research. Recipients will be students majoring in geology selected on the basis of scholastic achievement and merit of research project.
