Mr. Gregory S. Thomas, '91

This scholarship was established by UMass Foundation Board member, Gregory Thomas, ’91. Mr. Thomas earned his undergraduate degree from UMass Amherst and his MBA from Clark Atlanta University. He is an emerging innovations group manufacturing strategist at Corning Incorporated. Prior to moving into his current role, he held various positions at Corning: manufacturing and capital controller of display technologies, manager of manufacturing strategy for display technologies, product line manager at Corning Cable Systems, and manager for global cable manufactursing strategy at Corning Cable Systems. He began his professional career as an operations analyst at Coca Cola, then as an operations analyst at Union Pacific Railroad. In addition to serving on the UMass Foundation Board, Mr. Thomas is a member of the UMass Amherst Alumni Association, Monitory Program Director of the UMass Amherst/Corning Incorporated PHD, member of the Board of Directors of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, Northern Province, President of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, Corning-Elmira Alumni Chapter – Polemarch and a member of the International Rotary Club of Corning.
