Peter Bloom and past O'Brien recipients

Peter L. Bloom is a 1978 graduate of UMass Amherst who was a member of the University Honors Program as an undergraduate. He created the Kenneth L. O’Brien Scholarship to honor his cross-country coach and the tight-knit community of runners coach O’Brien fostered. In the coach O’Brien tradition, Bloom connects current scholarship recipients with scholarship alumni on an annual basis and encourages alumni to give back to the University. One of the most notable and valuable aspects of this scholarship is the activwe connection and network of current and past recipients.
