Steven M. Boland Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in memory of Steven Boland. From Steven’s obituary: “Steven M. Boland, 24, of Milton Street, Quincy, was killed in an automobile accident on Route 24 in Avon, Friday, March 14, 1997. He was the son of Nicholas Boland and Claire A. (Messier) Boland of Somerset. He was born in Fall River, had been a resident of Somerset for most of his life and while living in Somerset, a communicant of St. Thomas More Church. Mr. Boland was a 1990 graduate of Somerset High School and received a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1994. He worked in human resources for Summit Technological Services in Dedham for the last two years while residing in Quincy.”

This scholarship was established to provide scholarship assistance to an undergraduate student with a scholastic rank of freshman with preference given to students from the Southeastern Massachusetts area who demonstrate financial need and scholastic merit.
