Mary A. Maher Scholarship

These scholarships for nursing students were established to honor the founding Dean of the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing, Mary A. Maher, who was instrumental in establishing the school in 1953. She initiated both the first nursing baccalaureate program and the first graduate program in the public education system in Massachusetts.

Recipients must be rising junior or senior nursing students who have a GPA of 2.0; are good citizens; show evidence of good physical and mental health, initiative, and self-direction; and demonstrate financial need.
