Supplemental Questions
  1. Marco Harris was born in the US 20 years ago to a Cuban woman who was visiting the US on a student visa. Her husband, Marco’s father, also an immigrant from Cuba, was a lawful permanent resident at the time. Both parents have since become US citizens.  Juan Kim was born in the US 20 years ago to Korean parents who had both overstayed their student visas by a few months at the time of his birth. After much litigation and other proceedings, the parents eventually received immigration status adjustments and became lawful permanent residents of the US. Their naturalization petitions are pending. Both families continue to live in the United States.  Should Juan and Marco be considered US citizens? Discuss the legal and policy issues involved, including whether the two young adults should be treated differently.  Please explore this and support your answer with an essay, roughly 5 pages, double spaced, not including references / citations.
  2. Please upload your current resume.
