Mary Dailey Irvine Prize

The Mary Dailey Irvine (MDI) Prize, in the Five College Astronomy Department, was established by the Irvine Family in memory of Mary Dailey Irvine (Smith College, Class of 1922). This prize exists to encourage and honor excellent undergraduate research in astronomy and astrophysics. The prize is awarded to a graduating senior from one of the Five College institutions for an outstanding senior thesis or research paper (on an astronomical or astrophysical topic) that is presented to the department. To be eligible students need to present at the FCAD event and submit their written document a week in advance.
