John F. Kennedy Scholars Program

The purpose of the gift is to provide scholarship support to full-time students in the College of Education who are pursuing teacher licensure in early childhood education, special education, elementary education, or secondary education. Recipients must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. Priority will be given to students with exhibited potential for excellence in the teaching profession, including high academic achievement. The focus of the areas of licensure for awarding of the scholarships will be at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Education. Recipients will be known as JFK Scholars and will have the opportunity to meet periodically with the Dean of the College of Education, or designee, and program leaders throughout the year of the award.
