Jennifer Stone and Jonathan Roskill
Jon graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1985 with a BSEE in Electrical & Computer Systems Engineering. He received an MBA from Boston University in 1991 and worked in high-tech since with roles at Microsoft and Acumatica. Jennifer graduated from Skidmore College in 1985 with a BA in Biology and a minor in Fine Arts. She earned a PhD in Neurobiology and Anatomy at Boston University in 1993 and has worked as a Research Professor at the University of Washington since 1998.
In addition to being a student at UMass, Jon grew up in the Amherst area and spent time at UMass with his father Mark Roskill, who was a professor of Art History at the University from 1969 to 2000. Jennifer grew up in southern Vermont.
Jennifer and Jon share the opinion that education is a key catalyst of a meaningful and fulfilling life. In addition to helping to shape one’s career, education opens doors to new ideas and perspectives on the world, introduces us to mentors who influence our personal trajectories, and helps to build a lasting responsibility to provide service and care for others.
