Dr. Florence Sullivan Scholarship

The purpose of the fund will be to provide scholarship support to doctoral students in the College of Education with interests in learning sciences, computing education or technology/media education as demonstrated by their coursework, research, work experience or volunteer activities.

Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated experience in or commitment to working with LGBTQIA+ organizations or to promoting the needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals; first generation college students; students who are registered with the UMass Amherst Office of Disability Services; or student who come from an educations or cultural or geographic background that is underrepresented in the US or at the College of Education; or students who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to diversity meaning efforts in the US to reduce social, educational, or economic disparities based on race, ethnicity, or gender or to improve race relations in the US) in the academic, professional, or civic realm through their work experience, volunteer engagement, or leadership of as student or community organization or have experienced financial hardship as a result of family economic circumstances.
