Totman Moskow Endowed Community Scholarship

Established to provide support for undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need, as determined by UMass Amherst. Preference will be given to first-generation college students, students transferring from a community college, or socioeconomically disadvantaged students, who are disproportionately impacted by the lack of resources to continue their educational pursuits.

The scholarships may be awarded for up to eight semesters (depending on the class level at which each student is first selected for the scholarship and their academic program) as long as the recipient continues to meet the scholarship criteria. The number of students selected and the amounts of the scholarships will be based on the annual distribution from the endowment and the cost of attending UMass Amherst. However, once a student receives his/her first award, and depending on annual allocations, it is the intent that subsequent awards will not be less than the original award amount.
