HTM Pathway Scholarship: Creating a More Diverse and Inclusive Community*
The Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) prides itself on providing students a vibrant, diverse, and exciting student experience met with hands on learning opportunities and unparalleled connections to industry. Faculty, staff, and alumni are dedicated to fostering an inclusive community, creating pathways to academic and professional success. The HTM Pathway Scholarship was created to ensure students from underrepresented populations could continue to thrive without additional financial burdens.
Recipients must be a freshman, sophomore, or junior when they apply (fall semester), must be on-campus HTM majors at the time they apply and remain in the major the following semester when the funds are awarded. This scholarship is intended for students who identify as part of an underrepresented group, (e.g., African American, Chicano/Latino, Native American/Alaska Native, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and first generation). The application will be assessed based on the overall merit of the application. While the scholarship is not needs based, need is one criteria which may be considered. While the scholarship is not academic based, academic performance is one criteria which may be considered.
If awarded, recipients agree to share bio and/or announcement at the HTM Annual Alumni Event.
