Paul J. and Gail M. McDonald Endowed Scholarship

An endowment fund whose purpose is to support undergraduate students in the Isenberg School of Management at the University. Eligible recipients will be first-year students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have high financial need as determined by the University. Preference, in order of priority, will be given to first-generation college students, Hospitality and Tourism Management majors, and/or graduates from Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham, MA. Additional preference will be given to Massachusetts residents. The scholarship may be renewed as long as recipients continue to meet the award criteria. It is the Donor’s wish that award amounts should be no more than 15% of the current cost of in-state tuition, fees, and food and housing, and that at least 60% of the scholarships awarded annually be made to first-generation college students. The University will determine who will administer the awards from the Endowed Fund (The “Endowed Fund Award Administrator”).

The Endowed Fund Award Administrator will have full authority to determine the award amounts and the number of scholarship recipients each year, which will be dependent upon the annual distribution and the cost of attending the University. However, once a student receives their first award, the Endowed Fund Award Administrator will use best
efforts to ensure that subsequent awards will be no less than the original award amount, provided fund distributions are available.
