Professor Alice Carmichael Harris Summer Research Fellowship in Linguistics Fund

The purpose of the gift is to provide service-free summer research fellowships to undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Linguistics who are participating in summer research. Holders of the Professor Alice Carmichael Harris Summer Research Fellowship will be known as Harris Fellows. The Donor intends the Harris Fellowship(s) to provide substantial support for one or a few Linguistics students to conduct summer research, with a preference for incoming or returning graduate students with interests in problems in linguistics requiring fieldwork or experimental work, reflecting Alice Harris’ approaches.
