Joyce A. Berkman Endowment in Graduate Women's History and Women's Studies

Established to provide support to graduate students in the Departments of History and Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies. The Chair of the Department of History, in consultation with the Chair of the Department of Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies, shall make available a minimum of two awards annually. These awards may be directed to students in one or both departments, as shall be determined by the applicant’s eligibility, interests, and the nature of his or her funding request. Priority shall be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Eligible recipients will be graduate students whose research, coursework, and academic interests are focused primarily on female experiences and consciousness.
