Dr. Carol J. Matteson Scholarship

The purpose of the Fund is providing financial assistance to a student, currently enrolled in a program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus at Mount Ida, that has exhibited demonstrated leadership skills in the classroom and the campus community, with demonstrated financial need, with the expectation that the recipient will work to achieve levels of academic excellence, leadership and community care for themselves and the institution, with the guarantee that the recipient will receive the earlier of the award for three years or until the recipient graduates. If no students are eligible, the allocations shall be applied to any student attending the UMASS Amherst campus at Mount Ida for educational or experiential purposes.
